Strategic Workforce Programs
Mr. Bracero joined the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DCSA) in 2011
and has held multiple positions within the Agency. He currently serves as the
Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) Strategic Workforce
Program Deputy Assistant Director.
Mr. Bracero previously served as the DSCU acting Provost, Deputy Assistant
Director for Enterprise Support, Team Lead for the Security Cooperation
Organization (SCO) Management team, Institutional Capacity Building
Division Chief, and Africa Center for Strategic Studies Chief of Staff.
Mr. Bracero is a retired Army Foreign Area (Sub-Saharan Africa) and Military
Police Officer with 35 years of experience in Security Cooperation, strategic
policy development, and intelligence analysis with global deployments in
support of humanitarian, peacekeeping, and operational missions. His
military service included operational assignments in Germany, Cameroon,
Iraq, Panama, and Cuba and culminated at the national policy level. In Iraq,
he served as the Iraqi Police Transition Team Chief to assist the National
Police improve community policing, rule of law, and law enforcement
operations.
Mr. Bracero received a Master of Science degree in National Strategic Studies
from the National War College; a Master of Arts degree in International
Relations and a Certificate of African Studies from the University of Florida;
and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations from Brigham Young
University. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff
College, and Military Police Officer Basic and Advance Courses.
