Intermediate Assessment, Monitoring and Evaluation

Required for Intermediate Level Certification for SC Planning, Oversight, and Execution

This course provides students with the knowledge, education and training they need to plan for, oversee and execute assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of security cooperation plans, programs and activities. It builds on functional knowledge of security assistance/security cooperation planning considerations, authorities, funding and roles of the Department of State (DoS), Department of Defense (DoD), and other members of the U.S. government interagency.

Raise the effectiveness of assessment, monitoring, and evaluation skills in order to foster accurate and transparent reporting to key stakeholders on the outcomes and sustainability of security cooperation and track, understand, and improve returns on DoD security cooperation investments.

Personnel involved in the planning, oversight or execution of security cooperation policy, programs or activities.

SC-101, Introduction to Security Cooperation Course and POE-201, Intermediate SC Planning, Oversight and Execution (or Equivalent). Due to COVID-19 class offering limitations, through 30 September 2020, POEH-201 can substitute for completing the entire POE-201 courses.

12 half days OLT, or 16 hours OLT + 4 days ILT

The course consists of an on-line portion to be completed in preparation for attending the 3 day in-residence session. The in-residence portion normally runs from 0800 until 1530 Tuesday through Thursday, allowing for travel on Monday and Friday.
