In September 2021, DIILS had the honor of co-hosting the Baltic Regional Operational Law Workshop with the legal department of the Estonian Ministry of Defense in Tallin, Estonia. In addition to Estonian counterparts, in attendance were military legal professionals from Poland, Latvia, and Lithuania. The event covered a variety of operational law subjects related to the operation of Integrated Air and Missile Defense platforms in accordance with domestic laws, NATO standards, and international legal frameworks. US and partner legal experts discussed current legal issues in air, land, maritime, space, and cyber domains, as well as hybrid warfare and malign legal operations across domains with the objective of developing expertise and counter measures. DIILS looks forward to continuing this cooperation with Baltic partners next year.
