In February, DIILS participated in the Black Sea Maritime Forum in Bucharest, Romania. The event was co-sponsored by U.S. Naval Forces Europe and the Romanian Navy, and involved discussions among several Black Sea heads of Navy or Coast Guard regarding relevant maritime issues of mutual concern in the Black Sea region. It highlighted the collaborative efforts among regional maritime leadership to identify common challenges and potential solutions for collective regional benefit. DIILS looks forward to continued partnerships with its Black Sea maritime counterparts.
