Accreditation

The Council on Occupational Education (COE) granted reaffirmation of accreditation for the Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) on March 6, 2026 . This reaffirmation attests that DSCU has “maintained quality programs, again undergone an extensive self-study and team review process, and has continued to meet the Commission’s Standards and Conditions for Accreditation.”  DSCU’s next reaffirmation will occur in six years.

DSCU faculty and staff train and educate the Security Cooperation enterprise in support of national security objectives. As the Security Cooperation Workforce and its mission evolve, DSCU calibrates it courses to address the dynamic environment.

DSCU maintains institutional accreditation through the COE, as an external assessment that its academic programs and courses meet nationally recognized standards. Through its standards, COE assures “quality and integrity in the career and technical education” of its members in a student-focused process that aligns the DSCU’s activities with workforce demands.

DSCU and its predecessor organizations have maintained institutional accreditation with the Council on Occupational Education (COE) since 2001.
