Fourth Annual SC Conference: Learning from the Past to Shape the Future
The Fourth Annual Security Cooperation Conference will be a virtual event focusing on how the knowledge, analysis, and lessons learned from the past can be applied toward current and future security cooperation activities. Analysis and knowledge of the long history of U.S. security cooperation is vital to understanding and implementing these programs today and in the future.
While past conferences focused on the practice of security cooperation more generally, the fourth annual conference encourages participants to consider how the past informs the practice of security cooperation to best advance national security priorities. Building on the discussions from the last three annual conferences, this conference will create the virtual space for exchanging research and showcasing the utility of informing practice with evidence-based knowledge and historical analysis.
This year’s conference theme, “Learning from the Past to Shape the Future,” provides a critical forum to discuss lessons learned and identify best practices to improve the effectiveness of foreign military sales and related security cooperation activities that advance the president’s vision of achieving peace through strength.
Please note that this virtual conference will take place in Eastern Standard Time (EST). Event links will be shared with approved attendees closer to the conference dates. Additionally, registration for the Fourth Annual Security Cooperation Conference is now closed. For more information, please contact dsca.ncr.dscu.mbx.conference@mail.mil.
