REG-201 Orientation to Regional Security for Practitioners offers an overview of key security challenges and provides participants with analytical frameworks to examine and understand countries and regions from a security challenge perspective. The course explores different types of challenges, including traditional challenges and non-traditional threats. At the end of this course, participants will understand a range of key security challenges across regions, observe how countries address security threats using different options, and simulate how the United States can provide partner nations with ways to address challenges through security cooperation.
