SCO-350 Security Cooperation Organization (SCO) Refresher Course
The SCO-350: SCO Refresher Course equips senior Field Grade Officers or DoD civilians officially assigned to Key SC coded Expert Level positions at U.S. embassy-based Security Cooperation Offices overseas – e.g., Senior Defense Officials/Defense Attachés (SDO/DATTs), SCO Chiefs, Deputy SCOs, or Program Managers – to implement, integrate, design and manage applicable security cooperation and security assistance programs at the country and regional level in order to support U.S. national security objectives related to their assigned partner nation. Previously qualified SCOs returning to the field will renew knowledge and expand on the latest advances in SC policy, integration and planning procedures ensuring they are ready to lead DoD SC organizations inside an embassy environment; students granted equivalency by DSCS will gain an understanding of the SCO functions and responsibilities required for the successful execution of security cooperation and security assistance.
