AME 330, Strategic Assessments for Program Planning and Design, is a 10-hour, virtual instructor led (VILT) course focused on the critical role of leveraging assessment data to make strategic planning and program design decisions in Security Cooperation (SC). Students will walk through a structured, methodological approach to using assessment data in practice. Through advanced group discussions, reflection activities, and scenario-based exercises, participants will explore real-world challenges that impact SC planning and program design. Students will learn how to use assessment data to accurately map partner interests and political will, establish a realistic desired partner role, and identify key factors that influence program design. Students will reflect on the realities of SC planning, strategize ways to overcome obstacles, and collaborate to develop solutions that maximize program effectiveness and sustainability.
At end of the course, participants will have the opportunity to achieve an 80% or higher on the multiple-choice assessment to receive their certification of completion. In addition, participants are asked to complete the course evaluation to provide valuable feedback on course design, content, and instruction.
