AME-330 Advanced Assessment Methodology for Strategic Planning and Program Design

AME 330, Advanced Assessment Methodology for Strategic Planning and Program Design is an expert-level course that equips Security Cooperation professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to conduct baseline assessments of partner nations to inform SC program design. Participants will learn a structured assessment methodology for analyzing the complex dynamics affecting a partner nation's security sector, enabling them to inform strategic objectives, improve the effectiveness of U.S. security cooperation efforts, and enhance program sustainability.

In this 6-hour Virtual Instructor- led (VILT) course, participants will be prepared to identify specific partner nation roles and the capabilities they need to complete tasks related to role performance, using methodological best-practices to develop a holistic understanding of PN capabilities. Lastly, this course will focus on how to use baseline assessments to develop specific and actionable recommendations for the design of comprehensive Significant Security Cooperation Initiatives (SSCIs) and mitigate risk to effectiveness, execution, and sustainment.

At the end of the course, students will have two opportunities to achieve an 80% or better on the final assessment to receive their certificate of completion. In addition, participants are also asked to complete the course evaluation at the end of the course to provide valuable feedback on course design, content, and instruction.
