ATE-230 Course Alignment and Instructional Design
ATE-230 Course Alignment and Instructional Design is a practitioner-level course in the Advise, Train, and Educate (ATE) certification functional area. Drawing on accepted instructional design principles, this course focuses on strengthening learners’ ability to develop, design, and evaluate curriculum that aligns with established course and program outcomes by engaging in interactive lessons, activities, and case-based scenarios.
Learners will be able to create measurable objectives, map them to activities and assessments, and align instructional strategies using the framework of a competency-based program as an example. Participants will analyze online materials, apply scenario-based activities to design learner-centered solutions, and integrate assessment and feedback strategies that drive continuous improvement.
By the end of the course, learners will demonstrate the ability to formulate and apply instructional design approaches that are adaptable, scalable, and effective across various learning environments.
In this 5-hour online training (OLT) learners will be guided through course content accompanied by interactive activities to enhance the learning experience.
At the end of the course, students will have two opportunities to achieve an 80% or better on the final multiple-choice assessment to receive their certificate of completion.
Upon completion of the course, students will receive an email from CSOD with links to both the course evaluation and the certificate of completion.
