The SCO Operations Support Course is required for SC-coded SCO functional area positions at the Practitioner (SCO Operations Support Personnel) level with a future assignment to a U.S. embassy-based U.S. Military Group (USMILGP) who have not previously served in a USMILGP overseas. The course introduces operations support personnel to the security cooperation enterprise and programs by providing an understanding of the embassy environment; diplomatic courtesies and obligations; and operations support roles and responsibilities relative to the administration of USMILGPs. This 9-day instructor-led course is held at DSCU Headquarters in the National Capital Region.
